Abrasive fabric. Pre-cut 5cm x 5cm (2 inch x 2 inch).
Abrasive meshes are used to determine the amount of dye transfer after completion of a dry or wet rub resistance test. Various materials can be assessed in this way, including carpets, laminates and inks, as well as coated and painted surfaces.
The fabric to be tested is rubbed against the fabric described here under standardized conditions. The degree of color transfer is then evaluated using a gray scale.
